Pois a mentalidade da carne é morte, mas a mentalidade do Espírito é vida e paz.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Pois a mentalidade da carne é inimizade contra Deus, pois não se sujeita à Lei de Deus, porque nem sequer pode.
Por cuanto la intención de la carne es enemistad contra Dios; porque no se sujeta á la ley de Dios, ni tampoco puede.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
because the mind of the flesh is hostile toward God, for it is not subject to God’s law, neither indeed can it be.
Portanto os que estão na carne não podem agradar a Deus.
Así que, los que están en la carne no pueden agradar á Dios.
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Porém vós não estais na carne, mas sim, no Espírito, se é que o Espírito de Deus habita em vós. Porém, se alguém não tem o Espírito de Cristo, esse não lhe pertence.

E se Cristo está em vós, apesar do corpo estar morto por causa do pecado, o Espírito é vida por causa da justiça.

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

E se o Espírito daquele que dos mortos ressuscitou a Jesus habita em vós, aquele que dos mortos ressuscitou Cristo Jesus também dará vida aos vossos corpos mortais por meio do seu Espírito, que habita em vós.

Por isso, irmãos, somos devedores, não à carne, para vivermos segundo a carne;

Mas, se esperamos o que não vemos, com paciência esperamos.

E da mesma maneira também o Espírito ajuda em nossas fraquezas. Pois não sabemos orar como se deve, mas o próprio Espírito intercede por nós com gemidos inexprimíveis.

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

E aquele que examina os corações sabe qual é a intenção do Espírito, pois ele intercede pelos santos, segundo a vontade de Deus.
Mas el que escudriña los corazones, sabe cuál es el intento del Espíritu, porque conforme á la voluntad de Dios, demanda por los santos.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

E sabemos que todas as coisas juntamente contribuem para o bem daqueles que amam a Deus, dos que são chamados segundo o seu propósito.
Y sabemos que á los que á Dios aman, todas las cosas les ayudan á bien, es á saber, á los que conforme al propósito son llamados.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Quem fará acusação contra os escolhidos de Deus? Deus é quem justifica.

Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
Who could bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies.
Quem os condenará? Cristo Jesus é o que morreu; além disto é o que também ressuscitou; o que também está à direita de Deus, e que intercede por nós.

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
