Romanos 9

Denn dies ist ein Wort der Verheißung, da er spricht: Um diese Zeit will ich kommen, und Sara soll einen Sohn haben.

VERDAD digo en Cristo, no miento, dándome testimonio mi conciencia en el Espíritu Santo,

I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,

I tell the truth in Christ. I am not lying, my conscience testifying with me in the Holy Spirit

Nicht allein aber ist's mit dem also, sondern auch, da Rebecka von dem einigen Isaak, unserm Vater, schwanger ward;

Que tengo gran tristeza y continuo dolor en mi corazón.

That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.

that I have great sorrow and unceasing pain in my heart.

ehe die Kinder geboren waren und weder Gutes noch Böses getan hatten, auf daß der Vorsatz Gottes bestünde nach der Wahl, ward zu ihr gesagt,

Porque deseara yo mismo ser apartado de Cristo por mis hermanos, los que son mis parientes según la carne;

For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brothers’ sake, my relatives according to the flesh

nicht aus Verdienst der Werke, sondern aus Gnaden des Berufes, also: Der Größere soll dienstbar werden dem Kleinern,

Que son israelitas, de los cuales es la adopción, y la gloria, y el pacto, y la data de la ley, y el culto, y las promesas;

Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

who are Israelites; whose is the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service, and the promises;

wie denn geschrieben stehet: Jakob habe ich geliebet, aber Esau habe ich gehasset.

Cuyos son los padres, y de los cuales es Cristo según la carne, el cual es Dios sobre todas las cosas, bendito por los siglos. Amén.

Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

Was wollen wir denn hier sagen? Ist denn Gott ungerecht? Das sei ferne!

No empero que la palabra de Dios haya faltado: porque no todos los que son de Israel son Israelitas;

Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

But it is not as though the word of God has come to nothing. For they are not all Israel that are of Israel.

Denn er spricht zu Mose: Welchem ich gnädig bin, dem bin ich gnädig, und welches ich mich erbarme, des erbarme ich mich.

Ni por ser simiente de Abraham, son todos hijos; mas: En Isaac te será llamada simiente.

Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

Neither, because they are Abraham’s offspring, are they all children. But, “your offspring will be accounted as from Isaac.”

So liegt es nun nicht an jemandes Wollen oder Laufen, sondern an Gottes Erbarmen.

Quiere decir: No los que son hijos de la carne, éstos son los hijos de Dios; mas los que son hijos de la promesa, son contados en la generación.

That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as heirs.

Denn die Schrift sagt zu Pharao: Eben darum hab' ich dich erweckt, daß ich an dir meine Macht erzeige, auf daß mein Name verkündiget werde in allen Landen.

Porque la palabra de la promesa es esta: Como en este tiempo vendré, y tendrá Sara un hijo.

For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.

For this is a word of promise: “At the appointed time I will come, and Sarah will have a son.”

So erbarmet er sich nun; welches er will, und verstocket, welchen er will.

Y no sólo esto; mas también Rebeca concibiendo de uno, de Isaac nuestro padre,

And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

Not only so, but Rebekah also conceived by one, by our father Isaac.

So sagest du zu mir: Was schuldiget er denn uns? Wer kann seinem Willen widerstehen?

(Porque no siendo aún nacidos, ni habiendo hecho aún ni bien ni mal, para que el propósito de Dios conforme á la elección, no por las obras sino por el que llama, permaneciese;)

(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)

For being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calls,

Ja, lieber Mensch, wer bist du denn, daß du mit Gott rechten willst? Spricht auch ein Werk zu seinem Meister: Warum machst du mich also?

Le fué dicho que el mayor serviría al menor.

It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

it was said to her, “The elder will serve the younger.”

Hat nicht ein Töpfer Macht, aus einem Klumpen zu machen ein Faß zu Ehren und das andere zu Unehren?

Como está escrito: A Jacob amé, mas á Esaú aborrecí.

As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

Even as it is written, “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”

Derhalben, da Gott wollte Zorn erzeigen und kundtun seine Macht, hat er mit großer Geduld getragen die Gefäße des Zorns, die da zugerichtet sind zur Verdammnis,

¿Pues qué diremos? ¿Que hay injusticia en Dios? En ninguna manera.

What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? May it never be!

auf daß er kundtäte den Reichtum seiner HERRLIchkeit an den Gefäßen der Barmherzigkeit, die er bereitet hat zur HERRLIchkeit,

Mas á Moisés dice: Tendré misericordia del que tendré misericordia, y me compadeceré del que me compadeceré.

For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

For he said to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”

welche er berufen hat, nämlich uns, nicht allein aus den Juden, sondern auch aus den Heiden.

Así que no es del que quiere, ni del que corre, sino de Dios que tiene misericordia.

So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who has mercy.

Wie er denn auch durch Hosea spricht: Ich will das mein Volk heißen, das nicht mein Volk war, und meine Liebe, die nicht die Liebe war.

Porque la Escritura dice de Faraón: Que para esto mismo te he levantado, para mostrar en ti mi potencia, y que mi nombre sea anunciado por toda la tierra.

For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I caused you to be raised up, that I might show in you my power, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”

Und soll geschehen, an dem Ort, da zu ihnen gesagt ward: Ihr seid nicht mein Volk, sollen sie Kinder des lebendigen Gottes genannt werden.

De manera que del que quiere tiene misericordia; y al que quiere, endurece.

Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

So then, he has mercy on whom he desires, and he hardens whom he desires.

Jesaja aber schreiet für Israel: Wenn die Zahl der Kinder von Israel würde sein wie der Sand am Meer, so wird doch das Übrige selig werden;

Me dirás pues: ¿Por qué, pues, se enoja? porque ¿quién resistirá á su voluntad?

Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?

You will say then to me, “Why does he still find fault? For who withstands his will?”

Denn es wird ein Verderben und Steuern geschehen zur Gerechtigkeit, und der HERR wird dasselbige Steuern tun auf Erden.

Mas antes, oh hombre, ¿quién eres tú, para que alterques con Dios? Dirá el vaso de barro al que le labró: ¿Por qué me has hecho tal?

Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed ask him who formed it, “Why did you make me like this?”

Und wie Jesaja davor sagt: Wenn uns nicht der HERR Zebaoth hätte lassen Samen überbleiben, so wären wir wie Sodom worden und gleichwie Gomorra.

¿O no tiene potestad el alfarero para hacer de la misma masa un vaso para honra, y otro para vergüenza?

Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

Or hasn’t the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel for honor, and another for dishonor?

Was wollen wir nun hier sagen? Das wollen wir sagen: Die Heiden, die nicht haben nach der Gerechtigkeit gestanden, haben die Gerechtigkeit erlanget; ich sage aber von der Gerechtigkeit, die aus dem Glauben kommt.

¿Y qué, si Dios, queriendo mostrar la ira y hacer notoria su potencia, soportó con mucha mansedumbre los vasos de ira preparados para muerte,

What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

What if God, willing to show his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction,

Israel aber hat dem Gesetz der Gerechtigkeit nachgestanden und hat das Gesetz der Gerechtigkeit nicht überkommen.

Y para hacer notorias las riquezas de su gloria, mostrólas para con los vasos de misericordia que él ha preparado para gloria;

And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

and that he might make known the riches of his glory on vessels of mercy, which he prepared beforehand for glory—

Warum das? Darum, daß sie es nicht aus dem Glauben, sondern als aus den Werken des Gesetzes suchen. Denn sie haben sich gestoßen an den Stein des Anlaufens,

Los cuales también ha llamado, es á saber, á nosotros, no sólo de los Judíos, mas también de los Gentiles?

Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

us, whom he also called, not from the Jews only, but also from the Gentiles?

wie geschrieben stehet: Siehe da, ich lege in Zion einen Stein des Anlaufens und einen Fels des Ärgernisses; und wer an ihn glaubet, der soll nicht zuschanden werden.

Como también en Oseas dice: Llamaré al que no era mi pueblo, pueblo mío; y á la no amada, amada.

As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

As he says also in Hosea, “I will call them ‘my people,’ which were not my people; and her ‘beloved,’ who was not beloved.”

Liebe Brüder, meines Herzens Wunsch ist, und flehe auch zu Gott für Israel, daß sie selig werden.

Y será, que en el lugar donde les fué dicho: Vosotros no sois pueblo mío: allí serán llamados hijos del Dios viviente.

And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

“It will be that in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘children of the living God.’”

Denn ich gebe ihnen das Zeugnis, daß sie eifern um Gott, aber mit Unverstand.

También Isaías clama tocante á Israel: Si fuere el número de los hijos de Israel como la arena de la mar, las reliquias serán salvas:

Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:

Isaiah cries concerning Israel, “If the number of the children of Israel are as the sand of the sea, it is the remnant who will be saved;

Denn sie erkennen die Gerechtigkeit nicht, die vor Gott gilt, und trachten, ihre eigene Gerechtigkeit aufzurichten, und sind also der Gerechtigkeit, die vor Gott gilt, nicht untertan.

Porque palabra consumadora y abreviadora en justicia, porque palabra abreviada, hará el Señor sobre la tierra.

For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

for he will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness, because the Lord will make a short work upon the earth.”

Denn Christus ist des Gesetzes Ende; wer an den glaubet, der ist gerecht.

Y como antes dijo Isaías: Si el Señor de los ejércitos no nos hubiera dejado simiente, como Sodoma habríamos venido á ser, y á Gomorra fuéramos semejantes.

And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha.

As Isaiah has said before, “Unless the Lord of Armies had left us a seed, we would have become like Sodom, and would have been made like Gomorrah.”

Mose schreibt wohl von der Gerechtigkeit, die aus dem Gesetz kommt: Welcher Mensch dies tut, der wird darinnen leben.

¿Pues qué diremos? Que los Gentiles que no seguían justicia, han alcanzado la justicia, es á saber, la justicia que es por la fe;

What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who didn’t follow after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith;

Aber die Gerechtigkeit aus dem Glauben spricht also: Sprich nicht in deinem Herzen: Wer will hinauf gen Himmel fahren? (Das ist nichts anderes, denn Christum herabholen.)

Mas Israel que seguía la ley de justicia, no ha llegado á la ley de justicia.

But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

but Israel, following after a law of righteousness, didn’t arrive at the law of righteousness.

Oder: Wer will hinab in die Tiefe fahren? (Das ist nichts anderes, denn Christum von den Toten holen.)

¿Por qué? Porque la seguían no por fe, mas como por las obras de la ley: por lo cual tropezaron en la piedra de tropiezo,

Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

Why? Because they didn’t seek it by faith, but as it were by works of the law. They stumbled over the stumbling stone,

Aber was sagt sie? Das Wort ist dir nahe, nämlich in deinem Munde und in deinem Herzen. Dies ist das Wort vom Glauben, das wir predigen.

Como está escrito: He aquí pongo en Sión piedra de tropiezo, y piedra de caída; y aquel que creyere en ella, no será avergonzado.

As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

even as it is written, “Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and a rock of offense; and no one who believes in him will be disappointed.”
