Rut 1

Da sagte Rut: »Bestürme mich nicht, dich zu verlassen, vom mit-dir-†Sein zurückzukehren! Nein! (Denn) Dahin, wohin du gehen wirst, will ich gehen, und da, wo du rasten wirst, will ich rasten; dein Volk †sei mein Volk (†denn dein Volk †ist mein Volk) und dein Gott †sei mein Gott (und dein Gott †ist mein Gott);

Y Ruth respondió: No me ruegues que te deje, y me aparte de ti: porque donde quiera que tú fueres, iré yo; y donde quiera que vivieres, viviré. Tu pueblo será mi pueblo, y tu Dios mi Dios.

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

Ruth said, “Don’t urge me to leave you, and to return from following you, for where you go, I will go; and where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God my God.
