Or il arriva du temps que les Juges jugeaient, qu’il y eut une famine au pays ; et un homme de Bethléhem de Juda s’en alla, pour demeurer en quelque lieu du pays de Moab, lui et sa femme, et ses deux fils.

Y ACONTECIÓ en los días que gobernaban los jueces, que hubo hambre en la tierra. Y un varón de Beth-lehem de Judá, fué á peregrinar en los campos de Moab, él y su mujer, y dos hijos suyos.

Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Beth-lehem-judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.

Et le nom de cet homme était Eli-mélec, et le nom de sa femme Nahomi, et les noms de ses deux fils Mahlon et Kiljon, Ephratiens, de Bethléhem de Juda ; et ils vinrent au pays de Moab, et y demeurèrent.

El nombre de aquel varón era Elimelech, y el de su mujer Noemi; y los nombres de sus dos hijos eran, Mahalón y Chelión, Ephrateos de Beth-lehem de Judá. Llegaron pues á los campos de Moab, y asentaron allí.

And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Beth-lehem-judah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.

Or Eli-mélec, mari de Nahomi, mourut et elle resta avec ses deux fils ;

Y murió Elimelech, marido de Noemi, y quedó ella con sus dos hijos;

And Elimelech Naomi’s husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.

Qui prirent pour eux des femmes Moabites, dont l’une s’appelait Horpa, et l’autre Ruth ; et ils demeurèrent là environ dix ans.

Los cuales tomaron para sí mujeres de Moab, el nombre de la una Orpha, y el nombre de la otra Ruth; y habitaron allí unos diez años.

And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years.

Puis ses deux fils Mahlon et Kiljon moururent ; ainsi cette femme demeura là, privée de ses deux fils et de son mari.

Y murieron también los dos, Mahalón y Chelión, quedando así la mujer desamparada de sus dos hijos y de su marido.

And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband.

Depuis elle se leva avec ses belles-filles pour s’en retourner du pays de Moab ; car elle apprit au pays de Moab, que l’Eternel avait visité son peuple, en leur donnant du pain.

Entonces se levantó con sus nueras, y volvióse de los campos de Moab: porque oyó en el campo de Moab que Jehová había visitado á su pueblo para darles pan.

Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread.

Ainsi elle partit du lieu où elle avait demeuré, et ses deux belles-filles avec elle, et elles se mirent en chemin pour retourner au pays de Juda.

Salió pues del lugar donde había estado, y con ella sus dos nueras, y comenzaron á caminar para volverse á la tierra de Judá.

Wherefore she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah.

Et Nahomi dit à ses deux belles-filles : Allez, retournez chacune en la maison de sa mère ; l’Eternel vous fasse du bien, comme vous en avez fait à ceux qui sont morts, et à moi.

Y Noemi dijo á sus dos nueras: Andad, volveos cada una á la casa de su madre: Jehová haga con vosotras misericordia, como la habéis hecho con los muertos y conmigo.

And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother’s house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.

Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go, return each of you to her mother’s house. May the LORD deal kindly with you, as you have dealt with the dead and with me.

L’Eternel vous fasse trouver du repos à chacune dans la maison de son mari ; et elle les baisa ; mais elles élevèrent leur voix, et pleurèrent.

Déos Jehová que halléis descanso, cada una en casa de su marido: besólas luego, y ellas lloraron á voz en grito.

The LORD grant you that ye may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept.

Et lui dirent : Mais plutôt nous retournerons avec toi vers ton peuple.

Y dijéronle: Ciertamente nosotras volveremos contigo á tu pueblo.

And they said unto her, Surely we will return with thee unto thy people.

They said to her, “No, but we will return with you to your people.”

Et Nahomi répondit : Retournez-vous-en, mes filles ; pourquoi viendriez-vous avec moi ? Ai-je encore des fils en mon ventre, afin que vous les ayez pour maris ?

Y Noemi respondió: Volveos, hijas mías: ¿para qué habéis de ir conmigo? ¿tengo yo más hijos en el vientre, que puedan ser vuestros maridos?

And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?

Naomi said, “Go back, my daughters. Why do you want to go with me? Do I still have sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?

Retournez-vous-en, mes filles, allez-vous-en ; car je suis trop âgée pour être remariée ; et quand je dirais que j’en aurais quelque espérance, quand même dès cette nuit je serais avec un mari, et quand même j’aurais enfanté des fils ;

Volveos, hijas mías, é idos; que yo ya soy vieja para ser para varón. Y aunque dijese: Esperanza tengo; y esta noche fuese con varón, y aun pariese hijos;

Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons;

Les attendriez-vous jusqu’à ce qu’ils fussent grands ? Différeriez-vous pour eux d’être remariées ? Non, mes filles ; certes je suis dans une plus grande amertume que vous, parce que la main de l’Eternel s’est déployée contre moi.

¿Habíais vosotras de esperarlos hasta que fuesen grandes? ¿habías vosotras de quedaros sin casar por amor de ellos? No, hijas mías; que mayor amargura tengo yo que vosotras, pues la mano de Jehová ha salido contra mí.

Would ye tarry for them till they were grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes that the hand of the LORD is gone out against me.

would you then wait until they were grown? Would you then refrain from having husbands? No, my daughters, for it grieves me seriously for your sakes, for the LORD’s hand has gone out against me.”

Alors elles élevèrent leur voix, et pleurèrent encore ; et Horpa baisa sa belle-mère ; mais Ruth resta avec elle.

Mas ellas alzando otra vez su voz, lloraron: y Orpha besó á su suegra, mas Ruth se quedó con ella.

And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her.

They lifted up their voices and wept again; then Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth stayed with her.

Et Nahomi lui dit : Voici, ta belle-soeur s’en est retournée à son peuple et à ses dieux ; retourne-t’en après ta belle-soeur.

Y Noemi dijo: He aquí tu cuñada se ha vuelto á su pueblo y á sus dioses; vuélvete tú tras ella.

And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.

She said, “Behold, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her god. Follow your sister-in-law.”

Mais Ruth répondit : Ne me prie point de te laisser, pour m’éloigner de toi ; car où tu iras, j’irai ; et où tu demeureras, je demeurerai ; ton peuple sera mon peuple, et ton Dieu sera mon Dieu.

Y Ruth respondió: No me ruegues que te deje, y me aparte de ti: porque donde quiera que tú fueres, iré yo; y donde quiera que vivieres, viviré. Tu pueblo será mi pueblo, y tu Dios mi Dios.

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

Ruth said, “Don’t urge me to leave you, and to return from following you, for where you go, I will go; and where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God my God.

Là où tu mourras, je mourrai, et j’y serai ensevelie. Ainsi me fasse l’Eternel et ainsi y ajoute, qu’il n’y aura que la mort qui me sépare de toi.

Donde tú murieres, moriré yo, y allí seré sepultada: así me haga Jehová, y así me dé, que sólo la muerte hará separación entre mí y ti.

Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.

Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me.”

Nahomi donc voyant qu’elle était résolue d’aller avec elle, cessa de lui en parler.

Y viendo Noemi que estaba tan resuelta á ir con ella, dejó de hablarle.

When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.

When Naomi saw that she was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her.

Et elles marchèrent toutes deux jusqu’à ce qu’elles vinrent à Bethléhem ; et comme elles furent entrées dans Bethléhem, toute la ville se mit à parler sur son sujet ; et les femmes dirent : N’est-ce pas ici Nahomi ?

Anduvieron pues ellas dos hasta que llegaron á Beth-lehem: y aconteció que entrando en Beth-lehem, toda la ciudad se conmovió por razón de ellas, y decían: ¿No es ésta Noemi?

So they two went until they came to Beth-lehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Beth-lehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?

So they both went until they came to Bethlehem. When they had come to Bethlehem, all the city was excited about them, and they asked, “Is this Naomi?”

Et elle leur répondit : Ne m’appelez point Nahomi, appelez-moi Mara. Car le Tout-Puissant m’a remplie d’amertume.

Y ella les respondía: No me llaméis Noemi, sino llamadme Mara: porque en grande amargura me ha puesto el Todopoderoso.

And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.

She said to them, “Don’t call me Naomi. Call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.

Je m’en allai pleine de biens, et l’Eternel me ramène vide. Pourquoi m’appelleriez-vous Nahomi, puisque l’Eternel m’a abattue, et que le Tout-Puissant m’a affligée ?

Yo me fuí llena, mas vacía me ha vuelto Jehová. ¿Por qué me llamaréis Noemi, ya que Jehová ha dado testimonio contra mí, y el Todopoderoso me ha afligido?

I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?

I went out full, and the LORD has brought me home again empty. Why do you call me Naomi, since the LORD has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?”

C’est ainsi que s’en retourna Nahomi, et avec elle Ruth la Moabite, sa belle-fille, qui était venue du pays de Moab ; et elles entrèrent dans Bethléhem au commencement de la moisson des orges.

Así volvió Noemi y Ruth Moabita su nuera con ella; volvió de los campos de Moab, y llegaron á Beth-lehem en el principio de la siega de las cebadas.

So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Beth-lehem in the beginning of barley harvest.
