Und es geschah in den Tagen, als die Richter richteten, da entstand eine Hungersnot im Land. Und ein Mann von Bethlehem-Juda zog hin, um sich in den Gefilden Moabs aufzuhalten, er und seine Frau und seine beiden Söhne.

Y ACONTECIÓ en los días que gobernaban los jueces, que hubo hambre en la tierra. Y un varón de Beth-lehem de Judá, fué á peregrinar en los campos de Moab, él y su mujer, y dos hijos suyos.

Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Beth-lehem-judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.

Und der Name des Mannes war Elimelech, und der Name seiner Frau Noomi, und die Namen seiner beiden Söhne Machlon und Kiljon, Ephratiter von Bethlehem-Juda. Und sie kamen in die Gefilde Moabs und blieben dort.

El nombre de aquel varón era Elimelech, y el de su mujer Noemi; y los nombres de sus dos hijos eran, Mahalón y Chelión, Ephrateos de Beth-lehem de Judá. Llegaron pues á los campos de Moab, y asentaron allí.

And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Beth-lehem-judah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.

Und Elimelech, der Mann Noomis, starb; und sie blieb mit ihren beiden Söhnen übrig.

Und sie nahmen sich moabitische Frauen: Der Name der einen war Orpa, und der Name der anderen Ruth; und sie wohnten dort etwa 10 Jahre.

Los cuales tomaron para sí mujeres de Moab, el nombre de la una Orpha, y el nombre de la otra Ruth; y habitaron allí unos diez años.

And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years.

Da starben auch die beiden, Machlon und Kiljon; und die Frau blieb allein übrig von ihren beiden Söhnen und von ihrem Mann.

Y murieron también los dos, Mahalón y Chelión, quedando así la mujer desamparada de sus dos hijos y de su marido.

And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband.

Und sie machte sich auf, sie und ihre Schwiegertöchter, und kehrte aus den Gefilden Moabs zurück; denn sie hatte im Gefilde Moabs gehört, dass der HERR sein Volk heimgesucht habe, um ihnen Brot zu geben.

Entonces se levantó con sus nueras, y volvióse de los campos de Moab: porque oyó en el campo de Moab que Jehová había visitado á su pueblo para darles pan.

Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread.

Salió pues del lugar donde había estado, y con ella sus dos nueras, y comenzaron á caminar para volverse á la tierra de Judá.

Wherefore she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah.

Da sprach Noomi zu ihren beiden Schwiegertöchtern: Geht, kehrt um, eine jede zum Haus ihrer Mutter. Der HERR erweise Güte an euch, so wie ihr sie an den Verstorbenen und an mir erwiesen habt.

Y Noemi dijo á sus dos nueras: Andad, volveos cada una á la casa de su madre: Jehová haga con vosotras misericordia, como la habéis hecho con los muertos y conmigo.

And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother’s house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.

Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go, return each of you to her mother’s house. May the LORD deal kindly with you, as you have dealt with the dead and with me.

Der HERR gebe euch, dass ihr Ruhe findet, eine jede in dem Haus ihres Mannes! Und sie küsste sie. Und sie erhoben ihre Stimme und weinten;

und sie sprachen zu ihr: Doch, wir wollen mit dir zu deinem Volk zurückkehren!

Y dijéronle: Ciertamente nosotras volveremos contigo á tu pueblo.

And they said unto her, Surely we will return with thee unto thy people.

They said to her, “No, but we will return with you to your people.”

Und Noomi sprach: Kehrt um, meine Töchter! Warum wolltet ihr mit mir gehen? Habe ich noch Söhne in meinem Leib, dass sie euch zu Männern werden könnten?

Y Noemi respondió: Volveos, hijas mías: ¿para qué habéis de ir conmigo? ¿tengo yo más hijos en el vientre, que puedan ser vuestros maridos?

And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?

Naomi said, “Go back, my daughters. Why do you want to go with me? Do I still have sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?

Kehrt um, meine Töchter, geht; denn ich bin zu alt, um eines Mannes zu werden. Wenn ich spräche: Ich habe Hoffnung; wenn ich selbst diese Nacht eines Mannes würde und sogar Söhne gebären sollte:

Volveos, hijas mías, é idos; que yo ya soy vieja para ser para varón. Y aunque dijese: Esperanza tengo; y esta noche fuese con varón, y aun pariese hijos;

Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons;

Go back, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have a husband. If I should say, ‘I have hope,’ if I should even have a husband tonight, and should also bear sons,

wolltet ihr deshalb warten, bis sie groß würden? Wolltet ihr deshalb euch abschließen, dass ihr keines Mannes würdet? Nicht doch, meine Töchter! Denn mir ergeht es viel bitterer als euch; denn die Hand des HERRN ist gegen mich ausgegangen.

¿Habíais vosotras de esperarlos hasta que fuesen grandes? ¿habías vosotras de quedaros sin casar por amor de ellos? No, hijas mías; que mayor amargura tengo yo que vosotras, pues la mano de Jehová ha salido contra mí.

Would ye tarry for them till they were grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes that the hand of the LORD is gone out against me.

would you then wait until they were grown? Would you then refrain from having husbands? No, my daughters, for it grieves me seriously for your sakes, for the LORD’s hand has gone out against me.”

Da erhoben sie ihre Stimme und weinten wiederum. Und Orpa küsste ihre Schwiegermutter; Ruth aber hing ihr an.

Mas ellas alzando otra vez su voz, lloraron: y Orpha besó á su suegra, mas Ruth se quedó con ella.

And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her.

They lifted up their voices and wept again; then Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth stayed with her.

Und sie sprach: Siehe, deine Schwägerin ist zu ihrem Volk und zu ihren Göttern zurückgekehrt; kehre um, deiner Schwägerin nach!

Y Noemi dijo: He aquí tu cuñada se ha vuelto á su pueblo y á sus dioses; vuélvete tú tras ella.

And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.

She said, “Behold, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her god. Follow your sister-in-law.”

Aber Ruth sprach: Dringe nicht in mich, dich zu verlassen, hinter dir weg umzukehren; denn wohin du gehst, will ich gehen, und wo du dich aufhältst, will ich mich aufhalten; dein Volk ist mein Volk, und dein Gott ist mein Gott;

Y Ruth respondió: No me ruegues que te deje, y me aparte de ti: porque donde quiera que tú fueres, iré yo; y donde quiera que vivieres, viviré. Tu pueblo será mi pueblo, y tu Dios mi Dios.

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

Ruth said, “Don’t urge me to leave you, and to return from following you, for where you go, I will go; and where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God my God.

wo du stirbst, will ich sterben, und dort will ich begraben werden. So soll mir der HERR tun und so hinzufügen, nur der Tod soll scheiden zwischen mir und dir!

Donde tú murieres, moriré yo, y allí seré sepultada: así me haga Jehová, y así me dé, que sólo la muerte hará separación entre mí y ti.

Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.

Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me.”

Und als sie sah, dass sie fest darauf bestand, mit ihr zu gehen, da ließ sie ab, ihr zuzureden.

Y viendo Noemi que estaba tan resuelta á ir con ella, dejó de hablarle.

When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.

When Naomi saw that she was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her.

Und so gingen beide, bis sie nach Bethlehem kamen. Und es geschah, als sie nach Bethlehem kamen, da geriet die ganze Stadt ihretwegen in Bewegung, und sie sprachen: Ist das Noomi?

Anduvieron pues ellas dos hasta que llegaron á Beth-lehem: y aconteció que entrando en Beth-lehem, toda la ciudad se conmovió por razón de ellas, y decían: ¿No es ésta Noemi?

So they two went until they came to Beth-lehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Beth-lehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?

So they both went until they came to Bethlehem. When they had come to Bethlehem, all the city was excited about them, and they asked, “Is this Naomi?”

Und sie sprach zu ihnen: Nennt mich nicht Noomi, nennt mich Mara; denn der Allmächtige hat es mir sehr bitter gemacht.

Y ella les respondía: No me llaméis Noemi, sino llamadme Mara: porque en grande amargura me ha puesto el Todopoderoso.

And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.

She said to them, “Don’t call me Naomi. Call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.

Voll bin ich gegangen, und leer hat mich der HERR zurückkehren lassen. Warum nennt ihr mich Noomi, da der HERR gegen mich gezeugt und der Allmächtige mir Übles getan hat?

Yo me fuí llena, mas vacía me ha vuelto Jehová. ¿Por qué me llamaréis Noemi, ya que Jehová ha dado testimonio contra mí, y el Todopoderoso me ha afligido?

I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?

I went out full, and the LORD has brought me home again empty. Why do you call me Naomi, since the LORD has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?”

Und so kehrte Noomi zurück, und Ruth, die Moabitin, ihre Schwiegertochter, mit ihr, die aus den Gefilden Moabs zurückkehrte; und sie kamen nach Bethlehem beim Beginn der Gerstenernte.

Así volvió Noemi y Ruth Moabita su nuera con ella; volvió de los campos de Moab, y llegaron á Beth-lehem en el principio de la siega de las cebadas.

So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Beth-lehem in the beginning of barley harvest.
