Tenía Elimelec, marido de Noemí, un pariente consanguíneo, hombre poderoso y de gran caudal, llamado Booz.
Y TENÍA Noemi un pariente de su marido, varón poderoso y de hecho, de la familia de Elimelech, el cual se llamaba Booz.
And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband’s, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz.

Y Rut, la moabita, dijo a su suegra: Si me das tu licencia iré al campo, y recogeré las espigas que se escapen de las manos de los segadores, donde quiera que hallare buena acogida en algún padre de familias que se muestre compasivo para conmigo. Le respondió Noemí: Anda, hija mía.
Y Ruth la Moabita dijo á Noemi: Ruégote que me dejes ir al campo, y cogeré espigas en pos de aquel á cuyos ojos hallare gracia. Y ella le respondió: Ve, hija mía.
And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter.
Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, “Let me now go to the field, and glean among the ears of grain after him in whose sight I find favor.” She said to her, “Go, my daughter.”
Fue, pues, y empezó a recoger espigas detrás de los segadores. Por fortuna el dueño de aquel campo era el mencionado Booz, de la parentela de Elimelec.
Fué pues, y llegando, espigó en el campo en pos de los segadores: y aconteció por ventura, que la suerte del campo era de Booz, el cual era de la parentela de Elimelech.
And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.

Y he aquí que el mismo Booz llegó de Betlehem; y saludó a los segadores, diciendo: El Señor sea con vosotros. Los cuales le respondieron: Bendígate el Señor.
Y he aquí que Booz vino de Beth-lehem, y dijo á los segadores: Jehová sea con vosotros. Y ellos respondieron: Jehová te bendiga.
And, behold, Boaz came from Beth-lehem, and said unto the reapers, The LORD be with you. And they answered him, The LORD bless thee.
Behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, “May the LORD be with you.” They answered him, “May the LORD bless you.”
Preguntó Booz al joven mayoral de los segadores: ¿De quién es esta muchacha?
Y Booz dijo á su criado el sobrestante de los segadores: ¿Cúya es esta moza?
Then said Boaz unto his servant that was set over the reapers, Whose damsel is this?
Then Boaz said to his servant who was set over the reapers, “Whose young lady is this?”
Le respondió: Esta es la moabita que vino con Noemí del país de Moab;
Y el criado, sobrestante de los segadores, respondió y dijo: Es la moza de Moab, que volvió con Noemi de los campos de Moab;
And the servant that was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the Moabitish damsel that came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab:

y ha pedido permiso para ir tras de los segadores cogiendo las espigas que quedan; y desde la mañana hasta ahora se está en el campo, sin haberse retirado ni por un momento a su casa.
Y ha dicho: Ruégote que me dejes coger y juntar tras los segadores entre las gavillas: entró pues, y está desde por la mañana hasta ahora, menos un poco que se detuvo en casa.
And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves: so she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she tarried a little in the house.
She said, ‘Please let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves.’ So she came, and has continued even from the morning until now, except that she rested a little in the house.”
Dijo entonces Booz a Rut: Oye, hija, no vayas a otra heredad a espigar, ni te apartes de este sitio, sino júntate con mis muchachas,
Entonces Booz dijo á Ruth: Oye, hija mía, no vayas á espigar á otro campo, ni pases de aquí: y aquí estarás con mis mozas.
Then said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens:
Then Boaz said to Ruth, “Listen, my daughter. Don’t go to glean in another field, and don’t go from here, but stay here close to my maidens.
y síguelas donde estuviere la siega: porque he dado orden a mis criados para que nadie se meta contigo; antes bien si tuvieres sed, vete al hato, y bebe agua de la misma que beben también mis criados.
Mira bien al campo que segaren, y síguelas: porque yo he mandado á los mozos que no te toquen. Y si tuvieres sed, ve á los vasos, y bebe del agua que sacaren los mozos.
Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.
Let your eyes be on the field that they reap, and go after them. Haven’t I commanded the young men not to touch you? When you are thirsty, go to the vessels, and drink from that which the young men have drawn.”
Ella entonces, inclinando su rostro hasta tierra, le hizo una profunda reverencia, y dijo: ¿De dónde a mí tanta dicha, que haya encontrado gracia en tus ojos, y te dignes tratarme con tanta bondad, siendo yo una mujer extranjera?
Ella entonces bajando su rostro inclinóse á tierra, y díjole: ¿Por qué he hallado gracia en tus ojos para que tú me reconozcas, siendo yo extranjera?
Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?
Then she fell on her face and bowed herself to the ground, and said to him, “Why have I found favor in your sight, that you should take knowledge of me, since I am a foreigner?”
A la cual respondió Booz: Me han contado lo que has hecho con tu suegra después de la muerte de tu marido; y cómo has abandonado a tus padres y el país nativo, por venir a un pueblo que te era antes desconocido.
Y respondiendo Booz, díjole: Por cierto se me ha declarado todo lo que has hecho con tu suegra después de la muerte de tu marido, y que dejando á tu padre y á tu madre y la tierra donde naciste, has venido á pueblo que no conociste antes.
And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.
Boaz answered her, “I have been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father, your mother, and the land of your birth, and have come to a people that you didn’t know before.
El Señor te premie por tu acción, y recibas un cumplido galardón del Señor Dios de Israel, a quien has recurrido, y debajo de cuyas alas te has amparado.
Jehová galardone tu obra, y tu remuneración sea llena por Jehová Dios de Israel, que has venido para cubrirte debajo de sus alas.
The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.
May the LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given to you from the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”
Le respondió Rut: He hallado gracia en tus ojos, ¡oh señor mío!, pues que así has consolado y hablado al corazón de esta esclava tuya, que ni merece contarse como una de tus criadas.
Y ella dijo: Señor mío, halle yo gracia delante de tus ojos; porque me has consolado, y porque has hablado al corazón de tu sierva, no siendo yo como una de tus criadas.
Then she said, Let me find favour in thy sight, my lord; for that thou hast comforted me, and for that thou hast spoken friendly unto thine handmaid, though I be not like unto one of thine handmaidens.
Then she said, “Let me find favor in your sight, my lord, because you have comforted me, and because you have spoken kindly to your servant, though I am not as one of your servants.”
Y le dijo Booz: A la hora de comer, vente aquí, y come el pan, y moja tu bocado en el vinagre con mis gentes: Se sentó, pues, a un lado de los segadores, y Booz le dio una porción de polenta de la que comió hasta saciarse, y guardó las sobras.
Y Booz le dijo á la hora de comer: Allégate aquí, y come del pan, y moja tu bocado en el vinagre. Y sentóse ella junto á los segadores, y él le dió del potaje, y comió hasta que se hartó y le sobró.
And Boaz said unto her, At mealtime come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dip thy morsel in the vinegar. And she sat beside the reapers: and he reached her parched corn, and she did eat, and was sufficed, and left.
At meal time Boaz said to her, “Come here, and eat some bread, and dip your morsel in the vinegar.” She sat beside the reapers, and they passed her parched grain. She ate, was satisfied, and left some of it.
Se levantó luego de allí para espigar como antes. Y Booz dio esta orden a sus criados, diciendo: Aunque quisiera ella segar con vosotros para sí, no se lo estorbéis;
Levantóse luego para espigar. Y Booz mandó á sus criados, diciendo: Coja también espigas entre las gavillas, y no la avergoncéis;
And when she was risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and reproach her not:

antes de propósito dejad caer de vuestros manojos algunas espigas, para que estando en el suelo las pueda coger sin rubor; y mientras las recoge nadie la reprenda.
Antes echaréis á sabiendas de los manojos, y la dejaréis que coja, y no la reprendáis.
And let fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may glean them, and rebuke her not.
Also pull out some for her from the bundles, and leave it. Let her glean, and don’t rebuke her.”
Estuvo, pues, espigando en el campo hasta la tarde; y vareando y sacudiendo las espigas recogidas, se halló con cerca de un efí de cebada, esto es tres modios.
Y espigó en el campo hasta la tarde, y desgranó lo que había cogido, y fué como un epha de cebada.

Y cargando con ellos, se volvió a la ciudad, y se los mostró a su suegra; tras esto sacó y le dio de las sobras de la comida, de que ella se había saciado.
Y tomólo, y vínose á la ciudad; y su suegra vió lo que había cogido. Sacó también luego lo que le había sobrado después de harta, y dióselo.
And she took it up, and went into the city: and her mother in law saw what she had gleaned: and she brought forth, and gave to her that she had reserved after she was sufficed.

Le preguntó su suegra: ¿Dónde has espigado hoy, y dónde has empleado tu trabajo? Bendito sea el que se ha apidado de ti. Le declaró Rut en qué campo había espigado, y dijo que el amo de él se llamaba Booz.
Y díjole su suegra: ¿Dónde has espigado hoy? ¿y dónde has trabajado? bendito sea el que te ha reconocido. Y ella declaró á su suegra lo que le había acontecido con aquél, y dijo: El nombre del varón con quien hoy he trabajado es Booz.
And her mother in law said unto her, Where hast thou gleaned to day? and where wroughtest thou? blessed be he that did take knowledge of thee. And she shewed her mother in law with whom she had wrought, and said, The man’s name with whom I wrought to day is Boaz.
Her mother-in-law said to her, “Where have you gleaned today? Where have you worked? Blessed be he who noticed you.” She told her mother-in-law with whom she had worked, “The man’s name with whom I worked today is Boaz.”
A la cual contestó Noemí: Bendito sea el Señor; pues la misma buena voluntad que tuvo a los vivos, la conserva todavía a los difuntos. Y añadió: ese hombre es pariente nuestro.
Y dijo Noemi á su nuera: Sea él bendito de Jehová, pues que no ha rehusado á los vivos la benevolencia que tuvo para con los finados. Díjole después Noemi: Nuestro pariente es aquel varón, y de nuestros redentores es.
And Naomi said unto her daughter in law, Blessed be he of the LORD, who hath not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead. And Naomi said unto her, The man is near of kin unto us, one of our next kinsmen.
Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, “May he be blessed by the LORD, who has not abandoned his kindness to the living and to the dead.” Naomi said to her, “The man is a close relative to us, one of our near kinsmen.”
Le dijo Rut: Pues también me ha mandado que me incorpore con sus segadores hasta tanto que se acabe la siega de todas las mieses.
Y Ruth Moabita dijo: A más de esto me ha dicho: Júntate con mis criados, hasta que hayan acabado toda mi siega.
And Ruth the Moabitess said, He said unto me also, Thou shalt keep fast by my young men, until they have ended all my harvest.
Ruth the Moabitess said, “Yes, he said to me, ‘You shall stay close to my young men until they have finished all my harvest.’”
Le respondió la suegra: Más vale, hija mía, que vayas a espigar entre sus criadas, no sea que en el rastrojo de otro, se te opusiese alguno a que espigases.
Y Noemi respondió á Ruth su nuera: Mejor es, hija mía, que salgas con sus criadas, que no que te encuentren en otro campo.
And Naomi said unto Ruth her daughter in law, It is good, my daughter, that thou go out with his maidens, that they meet thee not in any other field.
Naomi said to Ruth her daughter-in-law, “It is good, my daughter, that you go out with his maidens, and that they not harm you in any other field.”
Se juntó, pues, con las criadas de Booz, y espigó entre ellas todo el tiempo restante, hasta que las cebadas y los trigos se recogieron en las trojes.
Estuvo pues junta con las mozas de Booz espigando, hasta que la siega de las cebadas y la de los trigos fué acabada; mas con su suegra habitó.
So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother in law.
So she stayed close to the maidens of Boaz, to glean to the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and she lived with her mother-in-law.
