E NAOMI, sua suocera, disse: Figliuola mia, non ti procaccerei io riposo, acciocchè ti sia bene?

Y DÍJOLE su suegra Noemi: Hija mía, ¿no te tengo de buscar descanso, que te sea bueno?

Then Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?

Naomi her mother-in-law said to her, “My daughter, shall I not seek rest for you, that it may be well with you?

Ora dunque, Booz, con le cui fanciulle tu sei stata, non è egli nostro parente? ecco, egli sventolerà questa notte gli orzi nell'aia.

¿No es Booz nuestro pariente, con cuyas mozas tú has estado? He aquí que él avienta esta noche la parva de las cebadas.

And now is not Boaz of our kindred, with whose maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley to night in the threshingfloor.

Now isn’t Boaz our kinsman, with whose maidens you were? Behold, he will be winnowing barley tonight on the threshing floor.

Lavati adunque, e ugniti, e mettiti indosso le tue veste, e scendi all'aia; non far che tu sii scorta da quell'uomo, finchè egli abbia finito di mangiare e di bere.

Te lavarás pues, y te ungirás, y vistiéndote tus vestidos, pasarás á la era; mas no te darás á conocer al varón hasta que él haya acabado de comer y de beber.

Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor: but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking.

Therefore wash yourself, anoint yourself, get dressed, and go down to the threshing floor; but don’t make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking.

E, quando egli si sarà posto a giacere, sappi il luogo ove egli giacerà, ed entravi, e scoprilo da' piedi, e ponti quivi a giacere; ed egli ti dichiarerà ciò che tu avrai da fare.

Y cuando él se acostare, repara tú el lugar donde él se acostará, é irás, y descubrirás los pies, y te acostarás allí; y él te dirá lo que hayas de hacer.

And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do.

It shall be, when he lies down, that you shall note the place where he is lying. Then you shall go in, uncover his feet, and lie down. Then he will tell you what to do.”

E Rut le disse: Io farò tutto quello che tu mi dici.

Y le respondió: Haré todo lo que tú me mandares.

And she said unto her, All that thou sayest unto me I will do.

She said to her, “All that you say, I will do.”

Ella adunque scese all'aia, a fece secondo tutto ciò che la suocera le avea ordinato.

Descendió pues á la era, é hizo todo lo que su suegra le había mandado.

And she went down unto the floor, and did according to all that her mother in law bade her.

She went down to the threshing floor, and did everything that her mother-in-law told her.

E Booz mangiò, e bevve, ed ebbe il cuore allegro; e poi se ne venne a giacere da un capo della bica. E Rut venne pianamente, e lo scoperse da' piedi, e vi si pose a giacere.

Y como Booz hubo comido y bebido, y su corazón estuvo contento, retiróse á dormir á un lado del montón. Entonces ella vino calladamente, y descubrió los pies, y acostóse.

And when Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of corn: and she came softly, and uncovered his feet, and laid her down.

When Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of grain. She came softly, uncovered his feet, and lay down.

E in su la mezza notte quell'uomo si spaventò, e si riscosse tutto; ed ecco, una donna gli era coricata a' piedi.

Y aconteció, que á la media noche se estremeció aquel hombre, y palpó: y he aquí, la mujer que estaba acostada á sus pies.

And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet.

At midnight, the man was startled and turned himself; and behold, a woman lay at his feet.

Ed egli le disse: Chi sei? Ed ella disse: Io sono Rut, tua servente; stendi il lembo della tua veste sopra la tua servente; perciocchè tu sei quel che per consanguinità hai la ragione del riscatto sopra me.

Entonces él dijo: ¿Quién eres? Y ella respondió: Yo soy Ruth tu sierva: extiende el borde de tu capa sobre tu sierva, por cuanto eres pariente cercano.

And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.

He said, “Who are you?” She answered, “I am Ruth your servant. Therefore spread the corner of your garment over your servant; for you are a near kinsman.”

Ed egli le disse: Benedetta sii tu appo il Signore, figliuola mia; questa tua ultima benignità, la quale tu hai usata, è migliore della primiera, non essendo andata dietro a' giovani, poveri o ricchi.

Y él dijo: Bendita seas tú de Jehová, hija mía; que has hecho mejor tu postrera gracia que la primera, no yendo tras los mancebos, sean pobres ó ricos.

And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.

He said, “You are blessed by the LORD, my daughter. You have shown more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, because you didn’t follow young men, whether poor or rich.

Ora dunque, figliuola mia, non temere; io ti farò tutto ciò che tu mi dici; perciocchè tutta la porta del mio popolo sa che tu sei donna di valore.

Ahora pues, no temas, hija mía: yo haré contigo lo que tú dijeres, pues que toda la puerta de mi pueblo sabe que eres mujer virtuosa.

And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.

Now, my daughter, don’t be afraid. I will do to you all that you say; for all the city of my people knows that you are a worthy woman.

Ma pure, benchè sia vero che io abbia la ragione della consanguinità, nondimeno ve n'è ancora un altro che l'ha, il quale è più prossimo di me.

Y ahora, aunque es cierto que yo soy pariente cercano, con todo eso hay pariente más cercano que yo.

And now it is true that I am thy near kinsman: howbeit there is a kinsman nearer than I.

Now it is true that I am a near kinsman. However, there is a kinsman nearer than I.

Stattene qui questa notte: e domattina, se colui vorrà usar la sua ragione di consanguinità inverso te, bene, faccialo; ma, se non gli piacerà usarla, io userò la mia ragione di consanguinità inverso te: sì, come il Signore è vivente; giaci fino alla mattina.

Reposa esta noche, y cuando sea de día, si él te redimiere, bien, redímate; mas si él no te quisiere redimir, yo te redimiré, vive Jehová. Descansa pues hasta la mañana.

Tarry this night, and it shall be in the morning, that if he will perform unto thee the part of a kinsman, well; let him do the kinsman’s part: but if he will not do the part of a kinsman to thee, then will I do the part of a kinsman to thee, as the LORD liveth: lie down until the morning.

Stay this night, and in the morning, if he will perform for you the part of a kinsman, good. Let him do the kinsman’s duty. But if he will not do the duty of a kinsman for you, then I will do the duty of a kinsman for you, as the LORD lives. Lie down until the morning.”

Ella adunque giacque a' piedi di esso fino alla mattina; poi si levò innanzi che uomo si potesse riconoscere l'un l'altro. E Booz disse: Non sappiasi che donna alcuna sia entrata nell'aia.

Y después que reposó á sus pies hasta la mañana, levantóse, antes que nadie pudiese conocer á otro. Y él dijo: No se sepa que haya venido mujer á la era.

And she lay at his feet until the morning: and she rose up before one could know another. And he said, Let it not be known that a woman came into the floor.

She lay at his feet until the morning, then she rose up before one could discern another. For he said, “Let it not be known that the woman came to the threshing floor.”

Poi disse a Rut: Porgi il panno lino che tu hai addosso, e tienilo. Ed ella lo tenne, ed egli misurò sei misure d'orzo, e gliele pose addosso; e poi se ne venne nella città.

Después le dijo: Llega el lienzo que traes sobre ti, y ten de él. Y teniéndolo ella, él midió seis medidas de cebada, y púsoselas á cuestas: y vínose ella á la ciudad.

Also he said, Bring the vail that thou hast upon thee, and hold it. And when she held it, he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her: and she went into the city.

He said, “Bring the mantle that is on you, and hold it.” She held it; and he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her; then he went into the city.

E Rut venne alla sua suocera. Ed ella le disse: Chi sei, figliuola mia? E Rut le dichiarò tutto ciò che quell'uomo le avea fatto.

Así que vino á su suegra, ésta le dijo: ¿Qué pues, hija mía? Y declaróle ella todo lo que con aquel varón le había acontecido.

And when she came to her mother in law, she said, Who art thou, my daughter? And she told her all that the man had done to her.

When she came to her mother-in-law, she said, “How did it go, my daughter?” She told her all that the man had done for her.

Le disse ancora: Egli mi ha date queste sei misure d'orzo; perciocchè egli mi ha detto: Non tornar vuota alla tua suocera.

Y dijo: Estas seis medidas de cebada me dió, diciéndome: Porque no vayas vacía á tu suegra.

And she said, These six measures of barley gave he me; for he said to me, Go not empty unto thy mother in law.

She said, “He gave me these six measures of barley; for he said, ‘Don’t go empty to your mother-in-law.’”

E Naomi le disse: Rimantene, figliuola mia, finchè tu sappia come la cosa riuscirà; perciocchè quell'uomo non resterà ch'egli non abbia oggi compiuto quest'affare.

Entonces Noemi dijo: Reposa, hija mía, hasta que sepas cómo cae la cosa: porque aquel hombre no parará hasta que hoy concluya el negocio.

Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.

Then she said, “Wait, my daughter, until you know what will happen; for the man will not rest until he has settled this today.”
