Y después que volvió a su suegra, la dijo ésta: Hija mía, yo voy a procurarte descanso, y a disponer que lo pases bien.
Y DÍJOLE su suegra Noemi: Hija mía, ¿no te tengo de buscar descanso, que te sea bueno?
Then Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?
Naomi her mother-in-law said to her, “My daughter, shall I not seek rest for you, that it may be well with you?
Este Booz, con cuyas criadas andas junta en el campo, es nuestro pariente, y esta noche avienta la cebada en su era.
¿No es Booz nuestro pariente, con cuyas mozas tú has estado? He aquí que él avienta esta noche la parva de las cebadas.
And now is not Boaz of our kindred, with whose maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley to night in the threshingfloor.
Now isn’t Boaz our kinsman, with whose maidens you were? Behold, he will be winnowing barley tonight on the threshing floor.
Lávate, pues, y úngete con los perfumes, y ponte los mejores vestidos, y encamínate a la era: procura que no te vea hasta que hayas acabado de comer y beber.
Te lavarás pues, y te ungirás, y vistiéndote tus vestidos, pasarás á la era; mas no te darás á conocer al varón hasta que él haya acabado de comer y de beber.
Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor: but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking.
Therefore wash yourself, anoint yourself, get dressed, and go down to the threshing floor; but don’t make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking.
Entonces cuando se fuere a dormir, nota bien el sitio donde duerme, e irás y alzarás la capa por la parte con que se cubre los pies, y te echarás allí, y te pondrás a dormir. El mismo te dirá, como pariente más cercano, lo que debes hacer.
Y cuando él se acostare, repara tú el lugar donde él se acostará, é irás, y descubrirás los pies, y te acostarás allí; y él te dirá lo que hayas de hacer.
And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do.
It shall be, when he lies down, that you shall note the place where he is lying. Then you shall go in, uncover his feet, and lie down. Then he will tell you what to do.”
Le respondió Rut: Yo haré cuanto tú me mandares.
Y le respondió: Haré todo lo que tú me mandares.
And she said unto her, All that thou sayest unto me I will do.
She said to her, “All that you say, I will do.”
Se fue, pues, a la era, e hizo todo lo que la suegra le había ordenado.

And she went down unto the floor, and did according to all that her mother in law bade her.

Y cuando Booz hubo comido y bebido y alegrándose, e ido a dormir junto a un montón de gavillas, se llegó Rut calladamente, y alzando la capa por los pies, se echo allí.

Cuando he aquí que a medianoche despertó el hombre despavorido y turbado al ver una mujer echada a sus pies;

And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet.

y lé dijo: ¿Quién eres? Y ella respondió: Soy Rut, esclava tuya: extiende tu manto sobre tu sierva; por cuanto eres el pariente más cercano de mi marido.
Entonces él dijo: ¿Quién eres? Y ella respondió: Yo soy Ruth tu sierva: extiende el borde de tu capa sobre tu sierva, por cuanto eres pariente cercano.
And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.
He said, “Who are you?” She answered, “I am Ruth your servant. Therefore spread the corner of your garment over your servant; for you are a near kinsman.”
A lo que dijo Booz: Bendita seas del Señor, hija mía, que has sobrepujado tu primera bondad y cordura, con la que manifiestas ahora, pues siendo joven como eres, no has ido a buscar jóvenes, ni pobres ni ricos, sino a los que la ley dispone.
Y él dijo: Bendita seas tú de Jehová, hija mía; que has hecho mejor tu postrera gracia que la primera, no yendo tras los mancebos, sean pobres ó ricos.
And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.
He said, “You are blessed by the LORD, my daughter. You have shown more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, because you didn’t follow young men, whether poor or rich.
Por tanto no temas, que yo haré contigo cuanto me has dicho; puesto que todas las gentes de mi ciudad saben que tú eres mujer de virtud.
Ahora pues, no temas, hija mía: yo haré contigo lo que tú dijeres, pues que toda la puerta de mi pueblo sabe que eres mujer virtuosa.
And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.
Now, my daughter, don’t be afraid. I will do to you all that you say; for all the city of my people knows that you are a worthy woman.
No niego yo ser pariente; pero hay otro más cercano que yo.
Y ahora, aunque es cierto que yo soy pariente cercano, con todo eso hay pariente más cercano que yo.

Descansa esta noche que venida la mañana, si él quiere quedarse contigo por el derecho de proximidad, sea en horabuena: mas si no quiere, vive el Señor que yo sin falta te tomaré: y así, duerme hasta mañana.
Reposa esta noche, y cuando sea de día, si él te redimiere, bien, redímate; mas si él no te quisiere redimir, yo te redimiré, vive Jehová. Descansa pues hasta la mañana.
Tarry this night, and it shall be in the morning, that if he will perform unto thee the part of a kinsman, well; let him do the kinsman’s part: but if he will not do the part of a kinsman to thee, then will I do the part of a kinsman to thee, as the LORD liveth: lie down until the morning.
Stay this night, and in the morning, if he will perform for you the part of a kinsman, good. Let him do the kinsman’s duty. But if he will not do the duty of a kinsman for you, then I will do the duty of a kinsman for you, as the LORD lives. Lie down until the morning.”
Durmió, pues, a sus pies hasta el fin de la noche. Y levantándose antes que los hombres pudiesen conocerse unos a otros, le dijo Booz: Procura que nadie sepa que has venido acá.
Y después que reposó á sus pies hasta la mañana, levantóse, antes que nadie pudiese conocer á otro. Y él dijo: No se sepa que haya venido mujer á la era.
And she lay at his feet until the morning: and she rose up before one could know another. And he said, Let it not be known that a woman came into the floor.
She lay at his feet until the morning, then she rose up before one could discern another. For he said, “Let it not be known that the woman came to the threshing floor.”
Y añadió: Extiende el manto con que te cubres, y tenle asido con ambas manos. Extenle dio ella, y teniéndole, le midió seis modios de cebada, se los cargó a cuestas. Así cargada entró en la ciudad.
Después le dijo: Llega el lienzo que traes sobre ti, y ten de él. Y teniéndolo ella, él midió seis medidas de cebada, y púsoselas á cuestas: y vínose ella á la ciudad.
Also he said, Bring the vail that thou hast upon thee, and hold it. And when she held it, he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her: and she went into the city.
He said, “Bring the mantle that is on you, and hold it.” She held it; and he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her; then he went into the city.
Y fue a su suegra, la cual le preguntó: ¿Qué has hecho, hija mía, sobre lo que te encargué? Le conto Rut todo lo que había hecho Booz por ella.
Así que vino á su suegra, ésta le dijo: ¿Qué pues, hija mía? Y declaróle ella todo lo que con aquel varón le había acontecido.
And when she came to her mother in law, she said, Who art thou, my daughter? And she told her all that the man had done to her.
When she came to her mother-in-law, she said, “How did it go, my daughter?” She told her all that the man had done for her.
Y añadió: He aquí seis modios de cebada que me ha dado diciéndome: No quiero que vuelvas a tu suegra con las manos vacías.
Y dijo: Estas seis medidas de cebada me dió, diciéndome: Porque no vayas vacía á tu suegra.
And she said, These six measures of barley gave he me; for he said to me, Go not empty unto thy mother in law.
She said, “He gave me these six measures of barley; for he said, ‘Don’t go empty to your mother-in-law.’”
Dijo entonces Noemí: Espera, hija mía, hasta que veamos en qué para la cosa. Porque Booz es hombre honrado, que no parará hasta que cumpla lo que te ha prometido.
Entonces Noemi dijo: Reposa, hija mía, hasta que sepas cómo cae la cosa: porque aquel hombre no parará hasta que hoy concluya el negocio.
Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.
Then she said, “Wait, my daughter, until you know what will happen; for the man will not rest until he has settled this today.”
