Mi amado es como la gacela o como el cervatillo. Escuchen; ahí está detrás de la pared; ahora mira por las ventanas, se asoma por las celosías.

Mi amado es semejante al gamo, ó al cabrito de los ciervos. Helo aquí, está tras nuestra pared, mirando por las ventanas, mostrándose por las rejas.
