Je résolus donc de me lever, de parcourir la ville rues et places pour chercher celui dont mon âme est éprise; je l'ai cherché et ne l'ai pas trouvé.

Levantaréme ahora, y rodearé por la ciudad; por las calles y por las plazas buscaré al que ama mi alma: busquélo, y no lo hallé.

I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.

I will get up now, and go about the city; in the streets and in the squares I will seek him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but I didn’t find him.
