1Pero tú, enseña lo que está de acuerdo con la sana doctrina.
2A los hombres mayores, enséñales a ser sobrios, respetables, sensatos, sanos en la fe, en el amor y en la paciencia.
3Asimismo, a las mujeres mayores, a que se comporten con reverencia, que no sean calumniadoras ni esclavas del mucho vino, sino que enseñen lo bueno,
4para que instruyan a las jóvenes a amar a sus esposos y a sus hijos,
5a ser prudentes, puras, dedicadas a su hogar, bondadosas y sumisas a sus propios esposos, para que nadie hable mal de la palabra de Dios.
6De la misma manera, anima a los jóvenes a ser sensatos.
7En todo, sé tú mismo un ejemplo de buenas obras. Al enseñar, muestra integridad, seriedad,
8y un mensaje sano e intachable, para que los que se oponen se avergüencen al no tener nada malo que decir de nosotros.
9Exhorta a los siervos a que se sometan a sus propios amos, que traten de agradarles en todo, que no les respondan mal,
10y que no les roben, sino que demuestren ser completamente confiables, para que en todo hagan lucir la doctrina de Dios nuestro Salvador.
11Porque la gracia de Dios se ha manifestado para traer salvación a todos los hombres,
12enseñándonos que, renunciando a la maldad y a los deseos mundanos, vivamos en este mundo con prudencia, justicia y devoción a Dios,
13mientras aguardamos la bendita esperanza y la gloriosa manifestación de nuestro gran Dios y Salvador Jesucristo.
14Él se entregó por nosotros para rescatarnos de toda maldad y purificar para sí mismo un pueblo que le pertenezca, dispuesto a hacer el bien.
15Enseña estas cosas; anima y reprende con toda autoridad. Que nadie te menosprecie.

1EMPERO tú, habla lo que conviene á la sana doctrina:
2Que los viejos sean templados, graves, prudentes, sanos en la fe, en la caridad, en la paciencia.
3Las viejas, asimismo, se distingan en un porte santo; no calumniadoras, no dadas á mucho vino, maestras de honestidad:
4Que enseñen á las mujeres jóvenes á ser prudentes, á que amen á sus maridos, á que amen á sus hijos,
5A ser templadas, castas, que tengan cuidado de la casa, buenas, sujetas á sus maridos; porque la palabra de Dios no sea blasfemada.
6Exhorta asimismo á los mancebos á que sean comedidos;
7Mostrándote en todo por ejemplo de buenas obras; en doctrina haciendo ver integridad, gravedad,
8Palabra sana, é irreprensible; que el adversario se avergüence, no teniendo mal ninguno que decir de vosotros.
9Exhorta á los siervos á que sean sujetos á sus señores, que agraden en todo, no respondones;
10No defraudando, antes mostrando toda buena lealtad, para que adornen en todo la doctrina de nuestro Salvador Dios.
11Porque la gracia de Dios que trae salvación á todos los hombres, se manifestó,
12Enseñándonos que, renunciando á la impiedad y á los deseos mundanos, vivamos en este siglo templada, y justa, y píamente,
13Esperando aquella esperanza bienaventurada, y la manifestación gloriosa del gran Dios y Salvador nuestro Jesucristo,
14Que se dió á sí mismo por nosotros para redimirnos de toda iniquidad, y limpiar para sí un pueblo propio, celoso de buenas obras.
15Esto habla y exhorta, y reprende con toda autoridad. Nadie te desprecie.

1But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
2That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
3The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
5To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
6Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
7In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
8Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
9Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;
10Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
11For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
15These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
World English Bible
1But say the things which fit sound doctrine,
2that older men should be temperate, sensible, sober minded, sound in faith, in love, and in perseverance,
3and that older women likewise be reverent in behavior, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good,
4that they may train the young wives to love their husbands, to love their children,
5to be sober minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that God’s word may not be blasphemed.
6Likewise, exhort the younger men to be sober minded.
7In all things show yourself an example of good works. In your teaching, show integrity, seriousness, incorruptibility,
8and soundness of speech that can’t be condemned, that he who opposes you may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say about us.
9Exhort servants to be in subjection to their own masters and to be well-pleasing in all things, not contradicting,
10not stealing, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God, our Savior, in all things.
11For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,
12instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age;
13looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
14who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.
15Say these things and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one despise you.
