EMPERO tú, habla lo que conviene á la sana doctrina:
But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
But say the things which fit sound doctrine,
que les vieillards soient sobres, graves, sages, sains dans la foi, dans l’amour, dans la patience.
Que los viejos sean templados, graves, prudentes, sanos en la fe, en la caridad, en la paciencia.
That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

de parole saine qu’on ne peut condamner, afin que celui qui s’oppose ait honte, n’ayant rien de mauvais à dire de nous.
Palabra sana, é irreprensible; que el adversario se avergüence, no teniendo mal ninguno que decir de vosotros.
Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

Exhorte les esclaves à être soumis à leurs propres maîtres, à leur complaire en toutes choses, n’étant pas contredisants ;
