EMPERO tú, habla lo que conviene á la sana doctrina:

daß alte Männer nüchtern seien, ehrbar, verständig, gesund im Glauben, in der Liebe, in der Geduld;
Que los viejos sean templados, graves, prudentes, sanos en la fe, en la caridad, en la paciencia.
That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

daß alte Frauen ebenfalls sich benehmen, wie es Heiligen geziemt, daß sie nicht verleumderisch seien, nicht vielem Weingenuß frönen, sondern Lehrerinnen des Guten seien,
Las viejas, asimismo, se distingan en un porte santo; no calumniadoras, no dadas á mucho vino, maestras de honestidad:
The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

verständig, keusch, haushälterisch, gütig, ihren Männern untertan zu sein, damit nicht das Wort Gottes verlästert werde.
