1Im achten Monat des zweiten Jahres des Königs Darius geschah das Wort des HERR zu Sacharja, dem Sohn Berechjas, des Sohnes Iddos, dem Propheten, und sprach:
2Der HERR ist zornig gewesen über eure Väter.
3Und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Kehret euch zu mir, spricht der HERR Zebaoth, so will ich mich zu euch kehren, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.
4Seid nicht wie eure Väter, welchen die vorigen Propheten predigten und sprachen: So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Kehret euch von euren bösen Wegen und von eurem bösen Tun! aber sie gehorchten nicht und achteten nicht auf mich, spricht der HERR.
5Wo sind nun eure Väter? Und die Propheten, leben sie auch noch?
6Ist's aber nicht also, daß meine Worte und meine Rechte, die ich durch meine Knechte, die Propheten, gebot, haben eure Väter getroffen, daß sie haben müssen umkehren und sagen: Gleichwie der HERR Zebaoth vorhatte uns zu tun, wie wir gingen und taten, also hat er uns auch getan?
7Am vierundzwanzigsten Tage des elften Monats, welcher ist der Monat Sebat, im zweiten Jahr des Königs Darius, geschah das Wort des HERRN zu Sacharja, dem Sohn Berechjas, des Sohnes Iddos dem Propheten, und sprach:
8Ich sah bei der Nacht, und siehe, ein Mann saß auf einem roten Pferde, und er hielt unter den Myrten in der Aue, und hinter ihm waren rote, braune und weiße Pferde.
9Und ich sprach: Mein HERR, wer sind diese? Und der Engel, der mit mir redete, sprach zu mir: Ich will dir zeigen, wer diese sind.
10Und der Mann, der unter den Myrten hielt, antwortete und sprach: Diese sind es, die der HERR ausgesandt hat, die Erde zu durchziehen.
11Sie aber antworteten dem Engel des HERRN, der unter den Myrten hielt, und sprachen: Wir haben die Erde durchzogen, und siehe, alle Länder sitzen still.
12Da antwortete der Engel des HERRN und sprach: HERR Zebaoth, wie lange willst du denn dich nicht erbarmen über Jerusalem und über die Städte Juda's, über welche du zornig bist gewesen diese siebzig Jahre?
13Und der HERR antwortete dem Engel, der mit mir redete, freundliche Worte und tröstliche Worte.
14Und der Engel, der mit mir redete, sprach zu mir: Predige und sprich: So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Ich eifere um Jerusalem und Zion mit großem Eifer
15und bin sehr zornig über die stolzen Heiden; denn ich war nur ein wenig zornig, sie aber halfen zum Verderben.
16Darum so spricht der HERR: Ich will mich wieder zu Jerusalem kehren mit Barmherzigkeit, und mein Haus soll darin gebaut werden, spricht der HERR Zebaoth; dazu soll die Zimmerschnur in Jerusalem gezogen werde.
17Und predige weiter und sprich: So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Es soll meinen Städten wieder wohl gehen, und der HERR wird Zion wieder trösten und wird Jerusalem wieder erwählen.
18[2:1] Und ich hob meine Augen auf und sah, und siehe, da waren vier Hörner.
19[2:2] Und ich sprach zu dem Engel, der mit mir redete: Wer sind diese? Er sprach zu mir: Es sind Hörner, die Juda samt Israel und Jerusalem zerstreut haben.
20[2:3] Und der HERR zeigte mir vier Schmiede.
21[2:4] Da sprach ich: Was sollen die machen? Er sprach: Die Hörner, die Juda so zerstreut haben, daß niemand sein Haupt hat mögen aufheben, sie abzuschrecken sind diese gekommen, daß sie die Hörner der Heiden abstoßen, welche das Horn haben über das Land Juda gehoben, es zu zerstreuen.

1EN el mes octavo, en el año segundo de Darío, fué palabra de Jehová á Zacarías profeta, hijo de Berechîas, hijo de Iddo, diciendo:
2Enojóse Jehová con ira contra vuestros padres.
3Les dirás pues: Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Volveos á mí, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, y yo me volveré á vosotros, ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos.
4No seáis como vuestros padres, á los cuales dieron voces los primeros profetas, diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Volveos ahora de vuestros malos caminos, y de vuestras malas obras: y no atendieron, ni me escucharon, dice Jehová.
5Vuestros padres, ¿dónde están? y los profetas ¿han de vivir para siempre?
6Empero mis palabras y mis ordenanzas que mandé á mis siervos los profetas, ¿no alcanzaron á vuestros padres? Por eso se volvieron ellos y dijeron: Como Jehová de los ejércitos pensó tratarnos conforme á nuestros caminos, y conforme á nuestras obras, así lo hizo con nosotros.
7A los veinticuatro del mes undécimo, que es el mes de Sebath, en el año segundo de Darío, fué palabra de Jehová á Zacarías profeta, hijo de Berechîas, hijo de Iddo, diciendo:
8Vi de noche, y he aquí un varón que cabalgaba sobre un caballo bermejo, el cual estaba entre los mirtos que había en la hondura; y detrás de él había caballos bermejos, overos, y blancos.
9Entonces dije: ¿Qué son éstos, señor mío? Y díjome el ángel que hablaba conmigo: Yo te enseñaré qué son éstos.
10Y aquel varón que estaba entre los mirtos respondió, y dijo: Estos son los que Jehová ha enviado á recorrer la tierra.
11Y ellos hablaron á aquel ángel de Jehová que estaba entre los mirtos, y dijeron: Hemos recorrido la tierra, y he aquí, toda la tierra está reposada y quieta.
12Y respondió el ángel de Jehová, y dijo: Oh Jehová de los ejércitos, ¿hasta cuándo no tendrás piedad de Jerusalem, y de las ciudades de Judá, con las cuales has estado airado por espacio de setenta años?
13Y Jehová respondió buenas palabras, palabras consolatorias á aquel ángel que hablaba conmigo.
14Y díjome el ángel que hablaba conmigo: Clama diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Celé á Jerusalem y á Sión con gran celo:
15Y con grande enojo estoy airado contra las gentes que están reposadas; porque yo estaba enojado un poco, y ellos ayudaron para el mal.
16Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová: Yo me he tornado á Jerusalem con miseraciones; en ella será edificada mi casa, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, y la plomada será tendida sobre Jerusalem.
17Clama aún, diciendo: Así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: Aun serán ensanchadas mis ciudades por la abundancia del bien; y aun consolará Jehová á Sión, y escogerá todavía á Jerusalem.
18Después alcé mis ojos, y miré, y he aquí cuatro cuernos.
19Y dije al ángel que hablaba conmigo: ¿Qué son éstos? Y respondióme: Estos son los cuernos que aventaron á Judá, á Israel, y á Jerusalem.
20Mostróme luego Jehová cuatro carpinteros.
21Y yo dije: ¿Qué vienen éstos á hacer? Y respondióme, diciendo: Estos son los cuernos que aventaron á Judá, tanto que ninguno alzó su cabeza; mas éstos han venido para hacerlos temblar, para derribar los cuernos de las gentes, que alzaron el cuerno sobre la tierra de Judá para aventarla.

1In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
2The LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers.
3Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.
4Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD.
5Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?
6But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.
7Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
8I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white.
9Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be.
10And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.
11And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.
12Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?
13And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words.
14So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
15And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.
16Therefore thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.
17Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.
18Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.
19And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.
20And the LORD shewed me four carpenters.
21Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.

1In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, the LORD’s word came to the prophet Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, saying,
2“The LORD was very displeased with your fathers.
3Therefore tell them, the LORD of Armies says: ‘Return to me,’ says the LORD of Armies, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the LORD of Armies.
4Don’t you be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying: The LORD of Armies says, ‘Return now from your evil ways and from your evil doings;’ but they didn’t hear nor listen to me, says the LORD.
5Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever?
6But my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, didn’t they overtake your fathers? “Then they repented and said, ‘Just as the LORD of Armies determined to do to us, according to our ways and according to our practices, so he has dealt with us.’”
7On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the LORD’s word came to the prophet Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, saying,
8“I had a vision in the night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in a ravine; and behind him there were red, brown, and white horses.
9Then I asked, ‘My lord, what are these?’” The angel who talked with me said to me, “I will show you what these are.”
10The man who stood among the myrtle trees answered, “They are the ones the LORD has sent to go back and forth through the earth.”
11They reported to the LORD’s angel who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, “We have walked back and forth through the earth, and behold, all the earth is at rest and in peace.”
12Then the LORD’s angel replied, “O LORD of Armies, how long will you not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which you have had indignation these seventy years?”
13The LORD answered the angel who talked with me with kind and comforting words.
14So the angel who talked with me said to me, “Proclaim, saying, ‘The LORD of Armies says: “I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
15I am very angry with the nations that are at ease; for I was but a little displeased, but they added to the calamity.”
16Therefore the LORD says: “I have returned to Jerusalem with mercy. My house shall be built in it,” says the LORD of Armies, “and a line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem.”’
17“Proclaim further, saying, ‘The LORD of Armies says: “My cities will again overflow with prosperity, and the LORD will again comfort Zion, and will again choose Jerusalem.”’”
18I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, four horns.
19I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these?” He answered me, “These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”
20The LORD showed me four craftsmen.
21Then I asked, “What are these coming to do?” He said, “These are the horns which scattered Judah, so that no man lifted up his head; but these have come to terrify them, to cast down the horns of the nations that lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.”
