En la misma ocasión estaban presentes algunos que le informaron a Jesús sobre unos galileos cuya sangre Pilato mezcló con los sacrificios de ellos.
Y EN este mismo tiempo estaban allí unos que le contaban acerca de los Galileos, cuya sangre Pilato había mezclado con sus sacrificios.
There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilæans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

Jesús les preguntó: ¿Piensan ustedes que aquellos galileos eran más pecadores que los demás galileos porque sufrieron esas cosas?
Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: ¿Pensáis que estos Galileos, porque han padecido tales cosas, hayan sido más pecadores que todos los Galileos?
And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilæans were sinners above all the Galilæans, because they suffered such things?
Jesus answered them, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered such things?
No. Más bien, si ustedes no cambian de mente, todos perecerán de igual manera.
No, os digo; antes si no os arrepintiereis, todos pereceréis igualmente.
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way.
O aquellos 18 sobre quienes cayó la torre en Siloé y los mató, ¿piensan que ellos eran más culpables que los demás habitantes de Jerusalén?
O aquellos dieciocho, sobre los cuales cayó la torre en Siloé, y los mató, ¿pensáis que ellos fueron más deudores que todos los hombres que habitan en Jerusalem?
Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them—do you think that they were worse offenders than all the men who dwell in Jerusalem?
No. Más bien, si ustedes no cambian de mente todos perecerán del mismo modo.

Les narró esta parábola: Alguien tenía una higuera plantada en su huerto. Fue a buscar fruto en ella y no lo halló.

He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

Y dijo al jardinero: Mira, hace tres años vengo a buscar fruto en esta higuera y no lo hallo. ¡Córtala para que no inutilice la tierra!
Y dijo al viñero: He aquí tres años ha que vengo á buscar fruto en esta higuera, y no lo hallo; córtala, ¿por qué ocupará aún la tierra?
Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
He said to the vine dresser, ‘Behold, these three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree, and found none. Cut it down! Why does it waste the soil?’
El jardinero respondió: Señor, déjala aún este año, hasta que cave alrededor de ella y le eche abono.
El entonces respondiendo, le dijo: Señor, déjala aún este año, hasta que la excave, y estercole.
And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
He answered, ‘Lord, leave it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it.
Si se ve que va a producir fruto, bien, y si no, la cortas.
Y si hiciere fruto, bien; y si no, la cortarás después.
And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
If it bears fruit, fine; but if not, after that, you can cut it down.’”
Un sábado enseñaba en una congregación de los judíos.
Y enseñaba en una sinagoga en sábado.
And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.

Una mujer que había estado enferma 18 años estaba allí encorvada y no podía levantarse.
Y he aquí una mujer que tenía espíritu de enfermedad dieciocho años, y andaba agobiada, que en ninguna manera se podía enhestar.
And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
Behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years. She was bent over and could in no way straighten herself up.
Cuando Jesús la vio, la llamó y le dijo: ¡Mujer, quedas libre de tu enfermedad!
Y como Jesús la vió, llamóla, y díjole: Mujer, libre eres de tu enfermedad.
And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

Le impuso las manos. Al instante se enderezó y glorificaba a Dios.

Pero el jefe de la congregación se indignó porque Jesús sanó en sábado y decía a la multitud: Hay seis días en los cuales uno debe trabajar. En éstos vengan y sean sanados, y no en sábado.
Y respondiendo el príncipe de la sinagoga, enojado de que Jesús hubiese curado en sábado, dijo á la compañía: Seis días hay en que es necesario obrar: en estos, pues, venid y sed curados, y no en día de sábado.
And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
The ruler of the synagogue, being indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the multitude, “There are six days in which men ought to work. Therefore come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day!”
Entonces el Señor le respondió: ¡Hipócritas! ¿Cada uno de ustedes no desata su buey o el asno del establo en sábado y lo lleva a beber?
Entonces el Señor le respondió, y dijo: Hipócrita, cada uno de vosotros ¿no desata en sábado su buey ó su asno del pesebre, y lo lleva á beber?
The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
Therefore the Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each one of you free his ox or his donkey from the stall on the Sabbath and lead him away to water?
A ésta hija de Abraham, a quien Satanás ató por 18 años, ¿no le era necesario ser liberada de esta atadura en sábado?
Y á esta hija de Abraham, que he aquí Satanás la había ligado dieciocho años, ¿no convino desatarla de esta ligadura en día de sábado?
And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham whom Satan had bound eighteen long years, be freed from this bondage on the Sabbath day?”
Al decir estas cosas, todos los que se le oponían quedaban humillados, pero todo el pueblo se regocijaba por las cosas espléndidas que Él hacía.
Y diciendo estas cosas, se avergonzaban todos sus adversarios: mas todo el pueblo se gozaba de todas las cosas gloriosas que eran por él hechas.
And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
As he said these things, all his adversaries were disappointed; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
Por tanto dijo: ¿A qué es semejante el reino de Dios, y a qué lo compararé?

Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?

It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

Es semejante a la levadura que una mujer echó en tres medidas de harina hasta que todo fue leudado.

It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

En su viaje a Jerusalén, Jesús enseñaba en las ciudades y aldeas por donde pasaba.
Y pasaba por todas las ciudades y aldeas, enseñando, y caminando á Jerusalem.
And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.

Y alguien le preguntó: Señor, ¿son pocos los que se salvan? Él le contestó:

Esfuércense a entrar por la puerta angosta, porque muchos procurarán entrar y no podrán.
Porfiad á entrar por la puerta angosta; porque os digo que muchos procurarán entrar, y no podrán.
Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
“Strive to enter in by the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will seek to enter in and will not be able.
Después que el amo de casa cierre la puerta, aunque algunos que estén afuera comiencen a golpearla y digan: Señor, ábrenos, les responderá: No sé quiénes son ustedes.
Después que el padre de familia se levantare, y cerrare la puerta, y comenzareis á estar fuera, y llamar á la puerta, diciendo: Señor, Señor, ábrenos; y respondiendo os dirá: No os conozco de dónde seáis.
When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
When once the master of the house has risen up and has shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ then he will answer and tell you, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’
Entonces dirán: Delante de Ti comimos y bebimos, y enseñaste en nuestras plazas.
Entonces comenzaréis á decir: Delante de ti hemos comido y bebido, y en nuestras plazas enseñaste;
Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’
Él les contestará: No sé de dónde son. ¡Apártense de Mí todos, hacedores de injusticia!
Y os dirá: Dígoos que no os conozco de dónde seáis; apartaos de mí todos los obreros de iniquidad.
But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
He will say, ‘I tell you, I don’t know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity.’
Allí será el llanto y el crujido de los dientes cuando vean a Abraham, a Isaac, a Jacob y a todos los profetas en el reino de Dios, y ustedes sean lanzados fuera.
Allí será el llanto y el crujir de dientes, cuando viereis á Abraham, y á Isaac, y á Jacob, y á todos los profetas en el reino de Dios, y vosotros excluídos.
There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in God’s Kingdom, and yourselves being thrown outside.
Vendrán del oriente, del occidente, del norte y del sur, y se reclinarán a comer en el reino de Dios.
Y vendrán del Oriente y del Occidente, del Norte y del Mediodía, y se sentarán á la mesa en el reino de Dios.
And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

Piensen: Hay últimos que serán primeros, y primeros que serán últimos.
Y he aquí, son postreros los que eran los primeros; y son primeros los que eran los postreros.
And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
Behold, there are some who are last who will be first, and there are some who are first who will be last.”
En aquella hora llegaron unos fariseos que le dijeron: Sal y escápate de aquí porque Herodes quiere matarte.
Aquel mismo día llegaron unos de los Fariseos, diciéndole: Sal, y vete de aquí, porque Herodes te quiere matar.
The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.
On that same day, some Pharisees came, saying to him, “Get out of here and go away, for Herod wants to kill you.”
Les dijo: Vayan, digan a aquella zorra: Mira, hoy y mañana echo fuera demonios y realizo sanidades, y al tercer día termino mi obra.
Y les dijo: Id, y decid á aquella zorra: He aquí, echo fuera demonios y acabo sanidades hoy y mañana, y al tercer día soy consumado.
And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
He said to them, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I complete my mission.
Pero me es necesario ir hoy, mañana y el día siguiente, porque no es posible que un profeta perezca fuera de Jerusalén.
Empero es menester que hoy, y mañana, y pasado mañana camine; porque no es posible que profeta muera fuera de Jerusalem.
Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
Nevertheless I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the next day, for it can’t be that a prophet would perish outside of Jerusalem.’
¡Jerusalén, Jerusalén, que matas a los profetas y apedreas a los que te son enviados! ¡Cuántas veces quise recoger a tus hijos como una gallina a sus polluelos bajo sus alas, y no quisiste!
¡Jerusalem, Jerusalem! que matas á los profetas, y apedreas á los que son enviados á ti: ¡cuántas veces quise juntar tus hijos, como la gallina sus pollos debajo de sus alas, y no quisiste!
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, like a hen gathers her own brood under her wings, and you refused!
Consideren que su casa queda desolada. Les digo: Que de ningún modo me verán hasta que digan: ¡Bendito el que viene en Nombre del Señor!
He aquí, os es dejada vuestra casa desierta: y os digo que no me veréis, hasta que venga tiempo cuando digáis: Bendito el que viene en nombre del Señor.
Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Behold, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’”
